In the ancient days before the Ancestors kept the stories, the People of the Frozen Earth lived in the vast wasteland that is now called Siberia. Seeking a better life, they moved south across the land bridge into a New World, traveling through what are today Alaska and Canada. Just under two thousand years ago, this semi-nomadic People settled in the basin between the foothills at the eastern edge of the Rocky Mountains and the flat tableland of the Western Great Plains in the area now known as Wyoming, Montana, and the Dakotas. Strong and proud, they lived, loved, hated, laughed, cried, and died in the fullness of Mother Life’s time.

My husband Ken spreads the word about my books everywhere he goes.
Watch for this rolling advertisement for People of the Frozen Earth.
We had a wonderful trip and came home just in time to start a round of radio interviews. I’ll tell you more about the trip and the interviews later.
In the meantime, though, I’m eager to share a letter from a reader. This is a real handwritten letter that came in postal mail. I was so thrilled with the reader’s words I asked for permission to quote the letter and received approval to quote her using her first name and location. Nancy in Indiana wrote:
I met you at the Columbia City, Indiana, Pow Wow. That’s the first time they’ve had an author and her works there. I am so glad you were there! I was most impressed that 10% of your sales goes to the Pine Ridge – how kind of you to do that. Your stories are so well written and chock full of morals, plant information, healings, techniques, good versus evil. I couldn’t put them down! Now I’ll reread them time and time again – to glean out more info. I plan on sharing them with my oldest daughter – we send books back and forth to each other. A good time for each of us although we’re thousands of miles apart.
Thank you, Nancy. I’m so glad you enjoyed my stories.
